Our Mission: The KCAR Foundation secures contributions from the REALTOR® and Affiliate community to provide grants to Kitsap based REALTORS®, Affiliates, and non-profit organizations to help meet basic needs during challenging times.

In 1994, the Kitsap County Association of REALTORS® established the R.A.I.N. Fund (REALTORS® and Affiliates In Need) - a benevolent fund aimed towards helping members of KCAR during unexpected challenges due to disaster, injury, or other catastrophic loss in family income.

 

In 2020 the Kitsap County Association of REALTORS® Foundation was formed under the Kitsap Community Foundation to establish a proper 501(c)(3), to not only continue the fine work of the R.A.I.N. Fund, but to expand our ability to reach further into the community.

 

In 2024 the KCAR Foundation established its first grant application and we are thrilled to begin our first grant cycle this summer! Through our grant program, we aim to extend our support to other Kitsap County non-profits that are actively engaged in building stronger, more resilient communities. By contributing to these organizations, we amplify the positive impact on the lives of community members. We believe in fostering a collaborative and supportive environment that strengthens the fabric of our community.
