REALTORS®  are held to the highest level of professionalism through adhering to a strict Code of Ethics which was adopted by the National Association of REALTORS®  in 1913.  The National Association of REALTORS®  Code of Ethics requires all REALTOR®  members to comply with the Code of Ethics and take a standard 2.5 hour NAR approved class every three years to be a member in good standing.  The Code of Ethics is in place to increase professionalism, mutual respect, and cooperation among the members by encourage the code of excellence and encourage dispute resolution through the ombudsman and mediation processes.
